Your way

Learn what you want

The whole library, shelved the way Sefaria shelves it. Take a sefer or just part of one, several sefarim in order, or a whole collection like ש״ס or משנה תורה.

  • Start where you are. Already partway through? Begin at any perek or daf, and it counts.
  • Learn it with commentaries. רש״י, תוספות, ברטנורא or משנה ברורה: under each line or beside the text, in the order you choose.
  • תלמוד › בבלי › סדר זרעים › ברכות
One perek of Gemaraפרק תפלת השחר
  • תנ״ך › תורה › בראשית
    One parashaפרשת לך לך
  • הלכה › משנה תורה › ספר מדע
One section of the Rambamהלכות דעות
  • משנה

Your pace

As much as fits your life

A set amount

A daf a day, an amud, two perakim, one aliyah. Switch from dapim to amudim later without losing your place.

A finish line

Pick a date and each day's share is worked out for you. Fall behind, and what's left is spread over the days that remain.

Start small

One mishnah a day finishes פרקי אבות by Feb 15. A small step, with the end in sight.

Your schedule

On your days, at your moment

  • Every day, some days, or a different amount each day. Sunday to Thursday, a lighter Friday, double on Sunday, Shabbat off.
  • Tied to a moment you already have. After Shacharit, on the train, when you get home. The reminder comes then, and only if today's portion isn't done.
  • On your calendar. One click puts each day's portion in Google or Apple Calendar (Outlook too), and it stays up to date as you learn.

Plans that bend, not break

Life happens. Your plan is built for it:

  • Shabbat and Yom Tov never count against you. Your streak skips right over them.
  • Pick up where you left off, or keep the schedule and let missed portions roll in as catch-up.
  • Finish by a date: whatever is left is re-spread over the days remaining.
  • Pause a goal when you need to, and resume right where you were.

The last three Fridays slipped. Half as much on that day might fit better.

When the same day keeps slipping, Lomed offers to make it lighter.
